The Purdue Extension Master Gardener Basic Training program is a comprehensive course covering plant science, sustainable gardening practices, and community outreach.
Classes will be held Wednesday evenings from August 12 through December 16, 2026 (5:00–8:30 PM) at the Lake County Extension Office in Crown Point.
Participants receive 40 hours of horticulture instruction and give back through volunteer service in the community—helping others grow while gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
